Hello, I’m Aaron.
My first passion was words. I wrote. Once I discovered the potent combination of words and images, I was hooked on graphic design.
I pursued Visual Communications and Journalism at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in December 2008. I did various freelance work until I got an internship with CaringBridge, and after that a job at the Hastings Star Gazette newspaper with Rivertown Multimedia. I spent four years designing ads and pages for a variety of Rivertown papers.
Now I work at Gemini Incorporated, one of the world's largest manufacturers of dimensional letters and plaques. Throughout my work there I have prepared artwork for production and worked with customers, salespeople, and manufacturing plants to ensure we make the best products we can. Most recently my roles been in training and quality analysis.
I live with my wife and two sons in Cannon Falls, Minnesota.
I enjoy walking, biking, and reading (often about type design & typography).
(The ‘h’ in my last name is silent, so it sounds like ‘Tessing.’)
